Savoury The Flavoury

Savoury Cocktails, a fad or is there actually something to it ? 

It has been predicted that 2024 would be the year of the savoury cocktail, although when we first heard this, it was hard to work out how this would work exactly... a maple and bacon old fashioned perhaps?  

However, on our travels searching for the next cocktails to feature on the Craft Cocktail Club, we have certainly seen more savoury cocktails cropping up.  We have seen Curry cocktails ! ( Albeit made with curry leaves not korma ! ) and greek yogurt being used in another.

Although we haven't found one yet that we believe is worth joining the club, the more we thought about it, it's not such a strange concept as first though, the Spicy margarita, or dirty martini  has been around for a long time, utilising the savoury to enhance  ! so perhaps we aren't as against the savoury sip as we first thought !   

If you find any savoury cocktails on your travels that will prove us wrong, let us know and we will go and give them a try !  in the meantime, we are off to mix up a Spicy margarita that will be joining the menu soon,  how spicy do you want yours ?
